Eduard Rybalevskyi

Eduard Rybalevskyi was born in 1991 in Zaporizhzhia. He currently lives and works in Kyiv. He began his creative journey in childhood—drawing comics, graffiti, and participating in student theater. Since 2020, the artist has been conducting solo exhibition activities.

The main themes of his artistic practice are the relationship between humans and nature, the divine, and the otherworldly. In his works, the artist explores the process of identity formation as a combination of inner and outer worlds—qualities, contexts, environments, interactions, and influences. Through his artworks, he seeks to demonstrate that the boundaries of identity are not objective: they are fluid and conditional, and sometimes deceptive. His art reflects the place of the individual among the fragments of influences and reactions, relying on intuition and sensitivity to the surrounding world.

“In my works, I combine visual memories, fantasies, and sensations, seeking to explore every corner of my own thoughts and experiences. Art for me is a powerful tool for self-discovery. Where the unconscious has equal rights with the conscious, and fantasy dominates over beauty, I feel honesty and confidence.”
