Sasha Luneva

Sasha Lunova is a Ukrainian artist, was born in 2003 in Mykolaiv. She currently lives and works in Kyiv. After studying at the Mykolaiv Children’s Art School, she obtained a bachelor’s degree in Management of Sociocultural Activities at the Kharkiv State Academy of Culture. In 2025, she completed her master’s degree at the Kyiv State Academy of Decorative and Applied Arts and Design named after Mykhailo Boichuk, specializing in Graphic Design.

In her artistic practice, she works at the intersection of primitivism, naive art, and art brut. The artist’s primary media is painting, in which she combines acrylic, oil, wax crayon, spray paint, and textured materials. Objects and installations using textile and soft materials also occupy an important place in her work.

The central theme of Sasha Luniova’s work is the interaction between humans and space and environment. In her works, she explores fear, love, memory, and psychological states related to the experience of personal history. Images of childhood, everyday objects, and motifs connected to individual memory play a special role in her visual language.
