A Game in Defense

This painting is deliberately naïve, as it is about the inner child who has finally found peace and worked through defense mechanisms. Who has realized that the opponent in the game is not an enemy (especially when playing with oneself). The work depicts a child who has finally learned to derive pleasure not from winning, but from the game itself.
